Magdalena Roze, born in 1982, is an Australian meteorologist, which means she studies weather. She is also a weather presenter and a journalist. Magdalena grew up in a place called Greenacre. When she was younger, she enjoyed dancing with a group called Lajkonik Sydney. She even performed at a festival named PolArt Adelaide in 1994.
Magdalena Roze's Early Life and Education
Magdalena Roze was a very bright student. She earned a scholarship to attend the University of Sydney. There, she studied Media and Communication, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Magdalena loved learning about the weather. She went on to study Atmospheric Science at Macquarie University. This is where she learned even more about Earth's atmosphere and weather patterns. She was excellent at her studies, winning two special awards in 2009. These were the Biophysical Environments Prize and the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Prize.
She also completed special training at the Bureau of Meteorology. This is Australia's main weather agency. Because of her knowledge, she has even been invited back to Macquarie University to teach other students.
Magdalena Roze's Career in Weather and News
Magdalena Roze has had an exciting career in television. She worked as a weather presenter and meteorologist at the Weather Channel. She also appeared as a weather expert on many radio and TV shows across Australia.
In October 2011, Magdalena joined Network Ten. She became the weather presenter for Ten News at Five: Weekend.
In January 2012, she joined Network Ten's morning show, Breakfast, as the weather presenter. She even reported live from London during the 2012 London Olympics. From August 2012, she presented the weather on Ten Morning News.
Magdalena also sometimes filled in as a newsreader. She even guest co-hosted a popular show called The Project.
In March 2014, Magdalena left Network Ten. Later, in August 2014, she appeared on the TV show Sunrise. In February 2015, she presented the weather on ABC News Victoria.
Magdalena Roze's Personal Life
In January 2015, Magdalena Roze shared happy news. She announced that she was engaged to her partner, Darren Robertson. The couple is now married and has two sons.
