Maggie, West Virginia facts for kids
Maggie is a small place in West Virginia, a state in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town does. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Mason County.
History
Maggie got its name from a special person! In 1887, a post office was opened there. A woman named Maggie was very important in making sure this post office happened for the community. So, the place was named after her to honor her efforts. The post office helped people send and receive mail for many years, until 1935.
