Maggie Carey (born around 1974 or 1975) is an American film director, writer, producer, and actress. She is known for directing funny short films for TV. She also wrote and directed the movie The To Do List in 2013.

Maggie Carey's Early Life and School
Maggie Carey grew up in Boise, Idaho. She went to Jackson Elementary and West Junior High schools. She finished high school at Borah High School in 1993.
Maggie was a very busy student in high school. She took many advanced classes. She also played a lot of sports, including being an All-American soccer player. She even worked as a lifeguard at the Borah pool. This experience later helped her when she made her film The To-Do List.
After high school, Maggie went to the University of Idaho for one year. Then, she was asked to play Division I soccer at the University of Montana. She was a co-captain for the team. She played in 26 games as a defender and scored one goal. She earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from Montana. Later, she got a special degree called an MFA degree in film production. She earned this from the University of Texas at Austin.
Maggie Carey's Career in Film and TV
In 2007, Maggie Carey worked with Liz Cackowski to create a funny online show. It was called The Jeannie Tate Show.
Maggie was also part of a famous comedy group in New York called the Upright Citizens Brigade. This group performs improvisation, which means they make up scenes and jokes on the spot. Maggie performed with this group in both New York and Los Angeles.
In 2011, Maggie helped write and direct short comedy skits for a TV show called Funny or Die Presents. These skits were about "Lady Refs," who were female referees for youth soccer games.
Maggie Carey's Personal Life
Maggie Carey married actor Bill Hader in 2006. They first met in Los Angeles, California, through a friend of Maggie's from college. Maggie and Bill have three daughters together.
Maggie and Bill separated in 2017. Bill Hader filed for divorce later that year. Their divorce was finalized in 2018.
