Magnum started his football journey in Brazil. He played for clubs like Paysandu from 2002 to 2003. During his time there, he played in 35 games and scored 6 goals. He then moved to Vitória and later had a loan spell at Santos in 2005.
Playing in Japan
In 2006, Magnum moved to Japan to play for Kawasaki Frontale. This was a big step in his career. He played 19 games and scored 4 goals in his first season with them. The next year, he played 19 more games and scored 7 goals. He also helped the team in cup competitions.
After two years with Kawasaki Frontale, Magnum joined Nagoya Grampus in 2008. He stayed with Nagoya Grampus for three seasons until 2010.
