Mai Charoenpura (Thai: ใหม่ เจริญปุระ) is a well-known Thai singer and actress. She was born on January 5, 1969. She was also known by her earlier stage name, Mai Siriwimol (Thai: ใหม่ สิริวิมล).

Mai's Early Life
Mai Charoenpura was born in Bangkok, Thailand. She is one of four daughters. Her father was a Thai actor named Surin Charoenpura, also known as Ruj Ronnapop. Her mother is Winee Sontikool. Mai has three sisters: Venic White, Vipavee Maguire, and a half-sister, the actress Intira Charoenpura. Mai went to school in England at Farringtons School.
Mai's Music Career
Mai Charoenpura started her music career in 1989. Since then, she has released many albums and music videos. She has also performed in many concerts.
In 2007, Mai performed in Manchester, England. This concert was organized by the former Thai prime minister, Thaksin Shinawatra. It was held to celebrate his ownership of the football club Manchester City F.C..

Mai's Acting Career
Mai Charoenpura has been acting in Thai television shows and movies since the 1980s.
She is very famous for her role as 'Pring' in a show called Khon Rerng Muang (Thai: คนเริงเมือง). She played this character twice in TV remakes, first in 1988 and again in 2002. She also became known internationally for her role as the villain Lady Srisudachan. This was in the 2001 film The Legend of Suriyothai. The movie was directed by Chatrichalerm Yukol and was shown in the United States in 2003.
In 2010, Mai appeared in a horror film called Die a Violent Death. She acted alongside Akara Amarttayakul and Supaksorn Chaimongkol. Some of her other movies include Memory and Meat Grinder.
After taking a break from acting, she returned in 2019. She starred as Yoi in the Channel 3 drama Krong Kam.
Mai's Namesake
The actress Davika Hoorne is nicknamed Mai because of Mai Charoenpura.
