Davika Hoorne (Thai: ดาวิกา โฮร์เน่), also known as Mai (Thai: ใหม่), is a famous Thai actress, model, singer, and YouTuber. She started her acting career in 2010. Davika became very well-known after starring in the movie Heart Attack in 2015. She is also famous for her roles in Pee Mak, My Ambulance, and Astrophile. Davika has won many awards for her acting, including Best Actress at the 25th Suphannahong National Film Awards for Heart Attack. In 2023, she won Best Global Teleplay Leading Actress at the 36th Global Arts and Television Huading Awards.

Her Early Years

Davika was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Her father is Belgian, and her mother is Thai. Her mother gave her the nickname "Mai" because it was the name of her favorite singer, Mai Charoenpura. Davika's parents separated when she was 10 years old. She was then raised by her mother and aunt.

In 2014, Davika bought a house for her father and his new family to live in Thailand after he retired.

Davika went to Kevalee International School in Bangkok for high school. After that, she studied and graduated from Rangsit University in Communication Arts.

Starting as a Model and Actress

Davika began her career as a model in 2010. Soon after, she got her first main acting role in the TV series Ngao Kammathep. She became very popular with the movie Heart Attack in 2015. This movie won many awards.

In 2013, Davika became even more famous for playing "Mae Nak" in the movie Pee Mak. This film was a huge success, earning over 1 billion baht. Pee Mak was also a big hit in many countries across Asia and Australia.

In 2016, Davika starred in the comedy movie Suddenly Twenty. This film was a Thai version of a popular Korean movie called Miss Granny.

In 2019, she appeared in the TV series My Ambulance, which became very popular worldwide. Davika also worked with the South Korean singer Ali on a music video called “No Way.” She also worked with Vietnamese singer So’n Tùng M-TP on the song “Run Now” for the show's soundtrack.
