Maison Manuvie is a big, modern building in the heart of downtown Montreal. It's located at 900 De Maisonneuve Ouest. This impressive building was finished in 2017.
It was built by a company called Ivanhoé Cambridge and is co-owned with Manulife. This amazing office building cost about $220 million Canadian dollars! It's part of a bigger plan by Ivanhoé Cambridge to invest a lot of money into downtown Montreal. The building was designed by the architects at Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux.
What's Inside?
Maison Manuvie is located between Mansfield Street and Metcalfe Street. It has 27 floors and stands 114 meters (about 374 feet) tall. That's like a 38-story building!
This building offers many cool things for the people who work there. It has a café where you can grab a snack, and a special conference center for meetings. There's even an outdoor terrace where people can relax.
For getting around, the building has 360 parking spots for cars. It also has over 125 spots for bicycles, which is great for people who like to bike to work! Inside, there are 45,200 square meters (about 486,500 square feet) of office space.
A really neat feature is that Maison Manuvie is connected to Montreal's underground city, called the RESO network. You can also get to the Montreal Metro subway system directly from the building through McGill Station.
Special Awards and Green Building
Maison Manuvie is known for its timeless design and its focus on being environmentally friendly. It aims to get a special award called LEED CS Gold certification. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. It means the building was built to save energy and protect the environment.
This building was also the first in Quebec to get a "WiredScore Platinum" certification. This means it has super-fast and reliable internet connections and technology.
In 2017, Maison Manuvie won an "Americas Property Award" for Office Development in Canada. This award is from the International Property Awards, showing it's a top-notch building!
