Early Life and Talent Show
Maja Keuc was born in Maribor, Slovenia. When she was a child, she joined an "English student theatre" group. This gave her lots of experience performing on stage. She learned to sing, dance, and play musical instruments.
In 2010, Maja took part in a TV talent show called Slovenija ima talent. This means Slovenia's Got Talent. She did very well in the competition. Maja finished as the runner-up, coming in second place. A 7-year-old girl named Lina Kuduzović won the show that year.
Representing Slovenia at Eurovision
Maja Keuc had the honor of representing Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. She sang a song called "No One". Eurovision is a big international music competition. It features singers from many different countries.
Maja performed very well in the contest. She reached the Grand Final. In the final competition, she finished in 13th place. This was a great achievement for Slovenia.
Releasing New Music
Maja Keuc has continued to make music. In September 2016, she released her second studio album. This album was titled Fairytales. For this album, she used her stage name, Amaya.
