Malcolm Barrett (born April 22, 1980) is an American actor. He is best known for playing Rufus Carlin, a time traveler, in the TV show Timeless on NBC. Malcolm has appeared in many other popular TV shows and movies.

Malcolm Barrett was born and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He went to Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan. He graduated in 1998. Some of his classmates who also became actors were Telly Leung and Billy Eichner.

Malcolm played Dr. Lem Hewitt on the ABC show Better Off Ted. He also had recurring parts in the Law & Order TV shows. You might have seen him in an episode of The Sopranos. He was also in the first episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Malcolm appeared in the very last episode of The Office. He played one of the new employees at Dunder Mifflin.
