How the Show Was Made
The original movie, History of the World, Part I, came out in 1981. Even though it was called "Part I," there were no plans for a sequel back then! The title was actually a joke, inspired by a book called The History of the World by Sir Walter Raleigh. That book was supposed to have many parts, but only the first one was finished.
However, in October 2021, the streaming service Hulu and Searchlight Television announced that a "Part II" TV series was being made. Production started in the spring of 2022. Mel Brooks helped create and write the series. He worked with Wanda Sykes, Ike Barinholtz, and Nick Kroll, who also starred in the show.
Where to Watch It
The first two episodes of History of the World, Part II came out on Hulu on March 6, 2023. The rest of the episodes were released over the next three days. People in other countries could also watch it on Disney+ (under the Star section), Disney+ Hotstar in India, and Star+ in Latin America.
Will There Be More?
The creators and actors of the show have said they would love to make a "Part III"! They think it would be fun to explore even more historical figures and different time periods. Some actors have even shared which historical people they would like to play if there's another season.
