Emily O'Hara Ratajkowski (born June 7, 1991) is an American model and actress. She was born in London to American parents but grew up in Encinitas, California. Ratajkowski began her career at a young age when she signed with Ford Models.

Her modeling career took off after she appeared on the cover of treats! magazine in 2012. This led to roles in music videos, including one for the song "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, which made her famous around the world.

Ratajkowski made her movie debut in the 2014 film Gone Girl, where she played the mistress of Ben Affleck's character. She also appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, she walked the runway for the first time for designer Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week. She has since walked in major fashion shows in Paris and Milan.

Emily O'Hara Ratajkowski was born in London, England. Her parents, Kathleen Balgley and John David Ratajkowski, were American school teachers. She is their only child. When she was young, her family moved to Encinitas, California, a suburb of San Diego.

Her father was raised Roman Catholic and her mother is Jewish. Ratajkowski considers herself to be of Polish-Israeli and Irish heritage. She spent many of her childhood summers in Bantry, Ireland, and Mallorca, Spain.

Before becoming a model, Ratajkowski was interested in soccer, acting, and ballet. She also acted in local theater shows as a child. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for one year before deciding to focus on her modeling career full-time.

First Steps in Acting and Modeling

Ratajkowski signed with the modeling agency Ford Models when she was 14. She started by modeling for department stores like Kohl's and Nordstrom. At 15, she auditioned for roles on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon shows. She appeared in two episodes of iCarly as the character Tasha.

On February 23, 2018, she married actor and producer Sebastian Bear-McClard. They had a son, who was born on March 8, 2021. The couple separated in July 2022, and Ratajkowski filed for divorce in September of that year.
