Early Life and Growing Up
Maliq Johnson was born in Brooklyn, New York. His first home was in a neighborhood called Starrett City. His parents are Mark Johnson and Tracy Stith.
He grew up in the Bedford–Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. His father co-owned a barbershop there called Head Hunter Barbershop. It was open from 1996 until it closed in 2015.
Education and Early Career
Maliq went to the Cobble Hill School of American Studies. He started acting very young. His first time on TV was in 2004, in a commercial for PediaSure.
He also appeared in many catalogs and advertisements. Some of the companies he worked with include Verizon, GAP, Target, Pillsbury, and Macy's. He took acting classes to improve his skills. Today, Maliq lives in Queens, New York.
