The Mall of Louisiana is a large shopping mall located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. You can find it between the I-10 highway and Bluebonnet Boulevard. It is the biggest mall in Louisiana.
This mall is also home to the third largest indoor carousel in the world! It is the main shopping center of its kind in Baton Rouge.
The biggest stores at the mall are called anchor stores. These include Dillard's, J. C. Penney, Macy's, and Sears. There is also an outdoor area of the mall called The Boulevard. It opened in 2008 and has many shops and places to eat. Some of these are Apple Inc., Ann Taylor, BJ's Brewhouse, Sephora, and Red Robin.

When Did the Mall Open?
The Mall of Louisiana was built in 1997. A company called Jim Wilson & Associates developed it.
Changes Over the Years
Over time, many stores have opened and closed at the mall. Here are some important changes:
- In 2003, a store called Foley's opened. It took the place of a former Parisian store.
- In 2005, Dillard's took over the McRae's store.
- A big movie theater opened next to the mall in 2006. It had 15 screens! Later, in 2013, AMC Theatres took over this movie theater.
- Also in 2006, the Foley's store changed its name to Macy's.
- In 2008, The Boulevard was added to the mall. This outdoor section brought more shops and restaurants.
- In 2015, a store called Nordstrom Rack opened. It was a large store, about 30,000 square feet.
- Some stores, like H. H. Gregg, Banana Republic, and Gap Inc., closed their locations at the mall in 2017 and 2018.
- In 2018, Main Event Entertainment announced plans to open a fun center where H. H. Gregg used to be.
- Also in 2018, H&M announced they would open a store in the old Gap locations.
- In 2020, construction began on a new aquarium inside the mall. This caused a long-time game store, Gameware, to move to a new spot.
- In 2021, it was announced that Sears would be closing its store at the mall.
