Geography and Landscape
Mandiraja District is located in the southwest part of the Banjarnegara Regency. The land here is mostly part of the Serayu River basin. This means the river flows through or near the area, stretching towards the northern border with Purbalingga District.
Mandiraja is about 21 kilometers away from the capital city of Banjarnegara Regency. It sits at an elevation of 132 meters above sea level. The area has both flat lowlands and some hilly parts. Villages like Salamerta, Glempang, Kebanaran, Somawangi, and Jalatunda are in the hilly areas. The other 11 villages are in the lower, flatter lands.
Climate and Weather

Education in Mandiraja

Culture and Traditions
Mandiraja has a rich traditional culture. One famous art form is Wayang Kulit, which is a traditional Javanese shadow puppet play. It tells stories using flat puppets and a screen.
Another important part of their culture is the calung. This is a traditional musical instrument made from bamboo. People play it by hitting the bamboo pieces to make sounds.
