María Abradelo, whose full name is María Patton Bastante Abradelo, is a Spanish actress and TV presenter. She was born on October 10, 1969. She is well-known for her work on many television shows and for her acting roles.

María Abradelo's Career

María Abradelo was born in Madrid, Spain. Her mother, Isabel Patton, was a singer. María started her career in television as a presenter.

Early TV Work

María Abradelo began her professional journey on the Canal Sur TV show Para que veas. She worked alongside her sister, Romy Abradelo, on this program. Later, she appeared on the Televisión Española (TVE) series called Tango. In 1991, she became a secretary on the popular game show Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez.

In the summer of 1993, María joined Tele 5 to host the show Ven a cantar (which means "Come and sing"). She then became a regular presenter for other shows on the network, including La batalla de las estrellas and Campeones de la playa in 1994. In 1999, she presented the comedy program A toda risa on TVE.

Acting Roles

As an actress, María Abradelo has been in several TV series. These include Hermanos de leche (from 1994 to 1995) on Antena 3 TV, Carmen y familia on TVE, and La revista de José Luis Moreno also on TVE.

She also performed in stage shows like Cinco minutos no menos, where she worked with Loreto Valverde and Jesús Cisneros. Other shows she was part of include El águila de fuego and Cómo están las mujeres.

Film and Theatre

María Abradelo has also worked in movies and theatre. She was in a Mexican film called La nena quiere irse a Londres (The Girl Wants to Go to London). She also appeared in Xoel Pamos' film Freedomless.

In theatre, she starred in the play Yola with her sister Romy Abradelo. She also performed in Pantaleón and the visitors with Fernando Guillén and Carmen Grey.

Later TV Projects

After her early work, María Abradelo was hired by Channel 9. There, she presented the music program Canta Canta and the children's show Babalá for several years. During the summers, she hosted karaoke programs on channels like CMT and Canal Sur.

In 2005, María Abradelo took part in the reality show La isla de los famosos. In 2007, she helped present the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. That same year, she co-hosted Sensational Night with Andoni Ferreño and Mar Saura. She also presented the New Year's Eve program on regional channels like Canal9 and CMT.

In 2008, she launched a new music contest called El picú on Channel 9. In 2013, she was a contestant on the reality show Expedición impossible with her sister Romy. In 2014, she hosted the music contest Canta con Abradelo on Canal7 TeleValencia.
