Marcia Anne Cross (born on March 25, 1962) is an American actress. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows. Marcia Cross first appeared in daytime soap operas like The Edge of Night and One Life to Live.
Later, she became famous for her roles in primetime TV. From 1992 to 1997, she played Kimberly Shaw on Melrose Place. She also starred as Bree Van de Kamp in the ABC series Desperate Housewives from 2004 to 2012. For this role, she was nominated for several awards, including three Golden Globe Awards. Early Life and Education
Marcia Anne Cross was born on March 25, 1962, in Marlborough, Massachusetts. She grew up there as the youngest of three daughters. Her mother, Janet, was a teacher, and her father, Mark J. Cross, was a personnel manager.
Marcia graduated from Marlborough High School in 1980. She then received a scholarship to the Juilliard School, a famous performing arts school. In 1984, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Acting from Juilliard. Later, in 1997, she went back to school. She earned a master's degree in psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles in 2003.
Acting Career
Marcia Cross started her acting journey in 1984. Her first role was on the soap opera The Edge of Night. After this, she moved from New York to Los Angeles. She soon got roles in TV movies. One of these was The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James.
