Marcus Cole is an American singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He is known for his gospel music, which includes styles like Christian R&B and urban gospel. Marcus Cole started his music journey in 1996 with the famous gospel group Commissioned. He later released his own albums, with his second album becoming very popular and appearing on the Billboard music charts.

Marcus Randell Cole was born on November 9, 1971, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was the youngest of five children in his family. He went to Danville High School in Danville, Illinois, and graduated in 1989. While in high school, he even wrote and performed the song for his graduating class!

His Music Career

Marcus Cole's career in music officially began in 1999. That year, he became a member of the gospel group Commissioned. He also released his first solo album, called Chillin' Up in Heaven, in September 1999.

His second album, Write My Song, came out in August 2006. This album was a big success for him. It made it onto the Billboard magazine charts, which are very important music charts in the United States. Write My Song reached number 34 on the Gospel Albums chart.

Life Today

Marcus Cole lives with his family in West Haven, Connecticut. He has also served as a worship leader at Vertical Church, helping lead music during church services.
