Marcus Elliot Williams (born November 18, 1986) is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He played different positions like small forward, shooting guard, and point guard.

College Basketball Journey
Marcus Williams went to Roosevelt High School in Seattle. After high school, he played college basketball for the University of Arizona from 2005 to 2007.
In his first year (2005–06), he played in all 33 games for Arizona. He was the team's second-highest scorer, averaging 13.0 points per game. He also led the team in three-point shooting. His great performance earned him a spot on the Pac-10 all-freshman team.
After thinking about joining the NBA draft early, he decided to play his second year. He was then named to the All-Pac-10 first team. On April 5, 2007, he decided to enter the NBA draft, giving up his last two years of college.
Professional Basketball Career
Marcus Williams was chosen by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2007 NBA draft. He was the 33rd player picked overall.
Early NBA Years
In July 2007, he joined the Spurs for the NBA Summer League. He signed with the Spurs in September 2007. However, he was later released by the team in October 2007.
In November 2007, he joined the Austin Toros in the NBA D-League. He briefly rejoined the Spurs in December 2007, playing one NBA game. But he was released again just three days later. He then returned to the Austin Toros.
In March 2008, he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers for the rest of the 2007–08 NBA season. He also played for the Clippers in the 2008 NBA Summer League.
He later signed with the Charlotte Bobcats in September 2008 but was released a month later. He then went back to play for the Austin Toros.
In April 2009, he signed with the San Antonio Spurs again for a short time. He was sent to the Austin Toros and then recalled by the Spurs. In October 2009, the Spurs released him once more.
Playing in China
In November 2009, Marcus Williams moved to China. He joined the Zhejiang Wanma Cyclones for the 2009–10 CBA season. After the Chinese season ended, he returned to the Austin Toros in March 2010.
He played for the Indiana Pacers in the 2010 NBA Summer League. In December 2010, he went back to play for the Zhejiang Wanma Cyclones in China.
On September 14, 2011, he signed with Shanxi Zhongyu in China for the 2011–12 CBA season. He played for Shanxi Zhongyu for several seasons, signing again in May 2012 and November 2013.
Later Career
In September 2014, he signed with the Denver Nuggets but was released in October. In August 2015, he played for Zhengzhou Dayun in the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL).
Later in August 2015, he signed with the Jilin Northeast Tigers for the 2015–16 CBA season. He left the team in December 2015.
