Marganus: A Legendary King

Family and Early Life

Marganus was King Leir's grandson. After King Leir, his aunt Cordelia became queen of Britain. Marganus did not like how Queen Cordelia ruled the land. He teamed up with his cousin, Cunedagius. Together, they took control of the kingdom from Cordelia. After this, Marganus ruled one half of Britain.

The Fight for More Power

Marganus was the oldest male relative of King Leir. He felt that he should rule all of Britain, not just half. His friends and advisors encouraged him to seek more power.

So, Marganus decided to take over the rest of Britain. He marched his army through Cornwall. As he went, his army caused a lot of damage to the land. He continued until he met the army of Cunedagius.

The End of Marganus's Reign

Cunedagius's army defeated Marganus in battle. Marganus had to run away. Cunedagius chased him all across Britain. Finally, Cunedagius trapped Marganus in Wales. There, Cunedagius killed Marganus.

After Marganus's death, Cunedagius became the king of all Britain. He named the place where Marganus died "Margon." This was done to remember his cousin.
