Margot Bingham is an American actress and singer. She is famous for playing the jazz singer Daughter Maitland in the TV show Boardwalk Empire. She also starred in the ABC drama series The Family starting in 2015. Later, in 2021, she was a main character in the last season of The Walking Dead.
About Margot Bingham
Margot Bingham was born in August 1988. She grew up in Green Tree, a town near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her father, Craig Bingham, used to play football for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her mother is Lynne Bingham.
Margot went to the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts and finished in 2006. She then studied at Point Park University for two years. After that, she moved to New York City to start her acting career. She began acting on stage in 2010. She was in a new version of the musical Rent in 2011. Around the same time, she acted in a web series called In Between Men. She also performed at BAM Cafe in Brooklyn.
In 2013, Margot got a role in the HBO show Boardwalk Empire. She played Daughter Maitland, a jazz singer from the 1920s. Critics really liked her performance in this show. In 2014, she had a repeating role in the TV series Matador. In 2015, Margot was chosen for a main role in the ABC drama series The Family. She acted alongside Joan Allen in this show.

Margot Bingham has a diverse family background. Her father's family is from Jamaica. Her mother's family has German-Jewish and Russian-Jewish roots. Margot is Jewish and had a special ceremony called a Bat Mitzvah when she was younger.
