Marianne Farley (born Marianne Therien in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian actress and director. She is known for her roles in TV shows like This Life and Vampire High. She has also directed and written successful short films.

Growing Up and Starting Out
Marianne Farley grew up in Quebec, Canada. She speaks both English and French. Her family loved music, so Marianne started singing when she was very young.
When she was 19, she released a song called Histoire sans prénom. She also put out a music album. Several of her songs became popular and made it into the top 10. Later, Marianne decided she wanted to try acting. She took many classes and learned how to act.
Acting and Directing Career
Marianne Farley began her acting career in 1999. She played two characters, Stella and Nancy Brooke, in the movie The Intruder.
In 2002, she joined the TV show Vampire High. She played a new main character named Dillan Vanderson. The show's creators were looking for someone with a unique look. So, Marianne dyed her blonde hair red, inspired by a character from the movie Run Lola Run. She was only in six episodes because the show ended.
From 2014 to 2015, Marianne played Judith Laramée in the series Mémoires vives. In 2015, she appeared in four episodes of Heroes Reborn as Julia. Julia was the wife of a main character, Noah Bennet.
From 2015 to 2016, she starred as Nicole Breen in the TV series This Life. Marianne really enjoyed playing Nicole. She said Nicole was a mix of many things: emotional, but always trying to be in control.
Besides acting, Marianne Farley also works behind the scenes. She has been a producer, director, and screenwriter. In 2015, she directed a short film called Saccage. In 2017, she wrote and directed another short film, Marguerite. This film was very successful! It won 20 important film awards and was shown at over 70 film festivals. It was even considered for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.
