Meghan Ory (born August 20, 1982) is an actress from Canada and the United States. She is best known for her role as Red Riding Hood/Ruby in the fantasy TV series Once Upon a Time. She also starred as Riley Neal in the CBS show Intelligence. Later, Ory played Abby O'Brien in the Hallmark Channel family drama Chesapeake Shores.

Her Acting Journey

Meghan Ory was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She started acting in theater plays even before she was a teenager.

Early Roles

Her first professional acting job was in 1999. It was a TV movie called The Darklings. After that, she had a guest role in the TV series The Crow: Stairway to Heaven. In 2000, she got her first regular TV role in the series Higher Ground. She also appeared in the MTV series 2ge+her in 2000. In 2001, Ory joined the cast of the Canadian TV series Vampire High.

She continued to work in television. She made guest appearances on shows like The Outer Limits and Dark Angel. In 2003, she was in the TV movies Lucky 7 and National Lampoon's Thanksgiving Family Reunion. She also appeared in TV series such as Smallville and The Collector in 2004. That same year, Ory made her first movie appearance in Decoys.

Becoming Well-Known

In 2006, Ory appeared in the TV series South Beach. She was also in the Hallmark mini-series Merlin's Apprentice. She appeared in the movie John Tucker Must Die and the TV film Her Sister's Keeper. In 2007, Ory was in Blonde and Blonder and the TV movie Nightmare.

In 2009, Ory played Claire Thompson in the horror movie Dark House. She also had a guest role in the Canadian TV series Sanctuary.

She currently lives in Newfoundland, Canada. She is a citizen of both Canada and the United States.
