Marianne Monson (born in 1975) is an American author and teacher. She writes books for children and adults, often focusing on stories about women in history. She also teaches English at Clatsop Community College in Astoria, Oregon. Marianne Monson also started a group called The Writer's Guild, which helps writers.
Education and Career
Marianne Monson studied English at several universities. She earned a degree from Brigham Young University (BYU). She also received master's degrees from Vermont College and Pacific University.
Before becoming a full-time author, Monson worked as an editor. She was a Managing Editor at Beyond Words Publishing. There, she helped edit many popular books. She has also taught English and creative writing at different colleges, including Portland Community College and BYU-Hawaii.
Books for Young Readers
Marianne Monson has written many books, including several for children. One of her well-known series is the Enchanted Tunnels books. These fantasy stories are for children, especially those who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS).
