Early Life and Education
Marietta Chrousala was born on March 11, 1983, in Rizari, a small village near Edessa, Greece. Her parents, Kostas and Aglaia Chrousalas, were both teachers. She has an older brother named Thanasis. In 1985, when Marietta was young, her family moved to Athens, the capital city of Greece.
Marietta started her university studies in 2001 at the University of Athens. She studied Mass Media and Communication. After finishing her first degree, she continued her education. She earned a postgraduate degree from Panteion University, focusing on Communication's Psychology.

Modeling and Television Work
In 2003, Marietta Chrousala became well-known when she won the "Star Hellas" beauty pageant. This win allowed her to represent Greece at the Miss Universe 2003 competition. She did very well, placing among the top 15 contestants worldwide.
Before her big win, Marietta had already been helping out with the 2004 Summer Olympics. After winning "Star Hellas," she was chosen to be one of the famous people to carry the Olympic Flame. This special relay ended in Greece, leading up to the Olympic Games.
