Marina Rollman's Journey
Marina Rollman was born and grew up in Geneva, Switzerland. She studied architecture and then classic literature in Switzerland and Paris. Marina was inspired to become a comedian after watching Jerry Seinfeld's show, "I'm telling you for the last time." In 2009, she tried out for a comedy contest in Paris. Even though it didn't work out that time, she didn't give up on her dream. Before becoming a full-time comedian, she worked different jobs, including in advertising, with a food truck, and as a babysitter.
Starting Her Comedy Career
In 2013, Marina decided to try comedy again. She was encouraged by another Swiss comedian, Thomas Wiesel. That year, she performed at her first open mic night in Switzerland. Soon after, she started appearing regularly on radio and TV shows. In 2014 and 2015, she created her own web series and shows. She also performed at the "festival du rire de Montreux" and the Jamel Comedy Club. She even opened shows for famous comedian Gad Elmaleh.
