Mario Gjurovski (Macedonian: Марио Ѓуровски, Serbian: Марио Ђуровски / Mario Đurovski; born 11 December 1985) is a football manager and former player from North Macedonia. He played as a midfielder, a key position that helps connect the defense and attack on the field. Mario is well-known for his time playing for different clubs, especially in Thailand, and later became a successful coach.

Playing Career Highlights
Club Journey
Mario Gjurovski began his football journey in youth teams before joining Red Star Belgrade. To gain more experience, he spent the 2003–04 season on loan. He played for Mladenovac and then for Sopot, which was a club connected to Red Star.
In 2004, Mario signed with Bežanija. After two seasons, his club was promoted to the top league in Serbia, the Serbian SuperLiga, in 2006. Mario played over 80 matches for Bežanija, scoring 18 goals, before moving to another SuperLiga club, Vojvodina, in 2007.
At Vojvodina, he became a regular player after a couple of seasons. His team finished second in the 2008–09 season. They also reached the final of the 2009–10 Serbian Cup but lost to his former club, Red Star. Mario left Vojvodina in 2011, having played more than 50 league matches.
Playing in Ukraine
On March 1, 2011, Mario Gjurovski signed a three-year contract with Metalurh Donetsk, a team in the Ukrainian Premier League.
Success in Thailand
In 2012, Mario moved to Muangthong United in the Thailand Premier League. Under coach Slaviša Jokanović, Mario helped Muangthong United win the league title without losing a single game in his first season. This was a fantastic achievement!
In May 2013, Mario had a memorable moment during a game. After scoring a goal, he celebrated in an unusual way, which led to him receiving a second yellow card and being sent off the field.
Despite four successful seasons with Muangthong United, he decided not to renew his contract. In 2016, he moved to Bangkok United as a free agent. On November 21, 2018, Mario signed another contract with Muangthong United. He announced his retirement from football on January 10, 2020, at the age of 34, after playing seven years in the Thai League.
International Appearances
Mario Gjurovski made his first appearance for the Macedonian national team in May 2010. In that friendly match against Azerbaijan, he scored his first international goal right away. He played a total of 12 matches for his country, scoring 2 goals. His last international game was a friendly match against Albania in November 2011.
Managerial Career
Leading Muangthong United
On October 19, 2020, Mario Gjurovski was appointed as the new head coach of the well-known Thai club, Muangthong United. He led the team for nearly three years. On September 18, 2023, Mario announced that he was stepping down from his role as manager. He took responsibility for the team's performance, which had not met expectations.
Personal Life and Family
Mario Gjurovski comes from a family deeply involved in football. He is the son of Milko Djurovski, a former international striker from North Macedonia who played for famous clubs like Red Star Belgrade and Partizan. Mario's uncle, Boško Gjurovski, also represented North Macedonia and Yugoslavia in international football.
The correct spelling of his last name is Gjurovski, as it appears on his Macedonian passport.
