Marion Grasby (born 29 September 1982) is a famous Thai-Australian cook and business owner. She is also a TV presenter, writes cookbooks, and is a food journalist. Marion married Tim Althaus in 2013, and they have two children. Tim is the CEO of Marion's Kitchen, her food company.

Early Life and Education
Marion Grasby was born in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. When she was four, her family moved to Papua New Guinea, where she went to primary school. Later, she moved to Brisbane and attended Somerville House. Her mother is Thai, and her father is Australian.
Marion's mother, Noi, was a trained Thai chef. She taught Marion to love food and cooking from a young age.
After high school, Marion studied law and journalism. She went to the Queensland University of Technology. She finished her degrees in 2005.
Journalism Career
After university, Marion worked as a journalist. She joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) in Adelaide. From 2006 to 2008, she reported for different radio and online news programs.
Culinary Career and MasterChef
In 2008, Marion left her job as a journalist. She went back to university to study food. She started a Master of Arts degree in Gastronomy at the University of Adelaide.
MasterChef Australia, Season 2
In 2010, Marion took a break from her studies. She joined the second season of MasterChef Australia. Many viewers thought she would win the cooking show.
During the show, Marion had many great moments. She won a challenge against a famous chef, Frank Camorra. Another chef, Heston Blumenthal, said she was the best during a challenge in the UK. Marion said this was her proudest cooking moment. She was eventually eliminated from the competition.
After MasterChef, Marion got many chances to cook, write, and present. She signed a deal with MasterChef Magazine.
Marion's Kitchen Food Company
In 2010, after MasterChef, Marion started her own food company. It is called Marion's Kitchen. The company makes meal kits like Pad Thai and Thai curries. They also make stir-fry sauces and salad dressings.
In 2015, Marion’s Kitchen products started selling in US supermarkets. Later, in 2019, they switched to an online service in the US. This allowed customers to get products delivered to their homes.
In 2017, Marion’s Kitchen opened a studio in Bangkok, Thailand. Here, they create cooking videos for social media. In 2020, they opened a second studio in Noosa, Australia.
