Mark Douglas Holton (born April 2, 1958) is an American actor. He is known for playing fun and memorable characters in movies. You might recognize him as Francis Buxton in Pee-wee's Big Adventure. He also played Chubby in the Teen Wolf movies. Another famous role was Ozzie Jones in the Leprechaun film series.
Early Life and Education
Mark Holton was born in Oklahoma City, which is in the state of Oklahoma. He finished high school in Okmulgee in 1976. After that, he went to Northeastern State University. This university is located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Acting Career
Mark Holton's acting career really took off with his role as Francis Buxton. Francis was the main rival to Pee-wee Herman in the popular comedy movie Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985). He became even more well-known as Chubby, a high school basketball player. Chubby appeared in the funny werewolf movies Teen Wolf (1985) and Teen Wolf Too (1987).
Mark also had supporting roles in several other big movies. These include The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988) and A League of Their Own (1992). He also appeared in My Life (1993) and Little Giants (1994).
Besides movies, Mark Holton has acted in many TV shows. He appeared in episodes of popular series like Seinfeld and MacGyver. He also had roles in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and NCIS. Mark even showed up in a music video for the band Ramones, for their song "Something to Believe In".
After a break from acting in the late 2000s, Mark Holton returned to the screen. He came back to play Ozzie again in the movie Leprechaun Returns (2018). This movie was a direct follow-up to the original Leprechaun film from 1993. Mark is also expected to appear in an upcoming horror movie called Stream.
