Mark grew up in Queens, New York. When he was a teenager, he helped his grandparents with their businesses. They did carpentry (working with wood) and landscaping (designing gardens). This might have been his first experience with managing money and businesses!
College and Beyond
He studied finance at Howard University and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. He graduated with high honors, showing he was a great student.
