Marlo Dahl was born on October 21, 1972, in Nipigon, Ontario, Canada. She is a talented Canadian curler and also a singer! Marlo leads her curling team, a role called a "skip," on the Women's World Curling Tour. Her team plays for the Port Arthur Curling Club in Thunder Bay.
Marlo Dahl's Curling Career
Marlo Dahl is a very experienced curler. She often leads her team at the Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts. This is a big championship for curlers in Ontario. She has competed in six provincial championships. These included events in 2006, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. Marlo has also taken part in three major World Curling Tour events. These were the 2006 Labatt Cash Spiel, the 2012 Courtesy Freight Northern Ontario Superspiel, and the 2012 Molson Cash Spiel.
Life Outside of Curling
When Marlo Dahl is not curling, she works as a Catholic school teacher. She teaches at St. Edward Elementary in Nipigon. Marlo is also a singer in a band called "Thunder Bay Legends." This band performs by pretending to be famous singers. Marlo is an Ojibwe person and a member of the Nipigon First Nation. She can speak both the Ojibwe language and Oji-Cree.
