The Maridjabin people, sometimes called Marrisjabin, were an Aboriginal group from Australia's Northern Territory. They lived on their traditional lands for many generations.
Language of the Maridjabin
The Maridjabin people spoke a language called Marridjabin. This language was a type of Marri-Thiyel. Marri-Thiyel is part of a larger group of languages. These are known as the Western Daly languages.
Traditional Lands
The Maridjabin's traditional land covered about 300 square miles (780 km2). This area was mostly swampland. It was located near the mouth of the Moyle River. Their land also stretched along the coast near Cape Dombey. It included the area about 20 miles (32 kilometers) inland from the coast.

The Maridjabin people were also known by other names. These names include:
- Murindjabin. This was an exonym. An exonym is a name given to a group by another group. The Murrinh-Patha people used this name for them.
