Becoming Mayor of Girona
In January 2016, Carles Puigdemont became the president of Catalonia. This meant he had to leave his role as mayor of Girona. Albert Ballesta i Tura then became the new mayor. Marta Madrenas continued her work in the city council, and she also took on responsibilities for city planning.
