Marta Pascal Capdevila (born 10 April 1983) is a Spanish politician. She has served as a Senator in the Parliament of Catalonia. From 2016 to 2018, she was a main leader of the Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT). Before that, she led the Nationalist Youth of Catalonia and was a spokesperson for the Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC).

About Marta Pascal
Marta Pascal studied Political Science and History. She earned her degrees from Pompeu Fabra University and the University of Barcelona.
She also took part in special leadership programs. These programs helped her learn more about public management.
Early Career and Interests
Marta Pascal worked on education policies. She was involved with the International Association of Educating Cities. From 2008 to 2011, she worked for the Vic City Council. She was in charge of their education department.
Later, she advised the Minister of Education for the Catalan government. This role lasted from 2011 to 2012. She is a member of Òmnium Cultural, a cultural organization. She also supports the Eduard Soler Foundation.

Her Political Journey
Marta Pascal started her political career early. She joined the Nationalist Youth of Catalonia (JNC). This is the youth group of the Democratic Convergence of Catalonia (CDC). She officially became a member of the CDC in 2006.
Leading Youth Politics
She became the president of the JNC in October 2012. She held this important role until February 2015. Before that, she was the vice president from 2010 to 2012. She also worked on social policies and immigration for the JNC.
Marta Pascal was part of the CDC leadership in her local areas. She also joined the CDC's National Council in 2010.
Becoming a Deputy and Spokesperson
In the 2012 elections, she was elected as a deputy. This meant she became a member of the Parliament of Catalonia. She was re-elected in the 2015 elections.
In July 2015, she became the spokesperson for the CDC. This was a key role where she represented the party.
Leading a New Party
In July 2016, a new party was formed. It was called the Catalan European Democratic Party (PDeCAT). This party continued the work of the CDC. Marta Pascal was chosen as its General Coordinator. She won this position with many votes from party members.
In May 2018, the Parliament of Catalonia selected Marta Pascal. She became a Senator, representing Catalonia.
Stepping Down from Leadership
In July 2018, Marta Pascal decided to step down. She resigned from her leadership role in the PDeCAT. She explained that she felt she no longer had the full support of Carles Puigdemont. After her resignation, David Bonvehí i Torras became the new president of PDeCAT. The party also agreed to join a new group called the Crida Nacional per la República.
