Neus Munté Fernández, born on November 13, 1970, in Barcelona, is a Spanish politician. She has held important positions in the government of Catalonia.

Education and Early Career
Neus Munté studied law at the University of Barcelona. She also earned a master's degree from Pompeu Fabra University. This helped her understand public law and how governments are organized.
Before becoming a politician, Neus Munté worked as a lawyer. She helped workers through the General Union of Workers (UGT) in Catalonia. From 1996 to 1999, she was part of a special committee for public service workers. Later, from 2004 to 2010, she held other important roles in the union. She worked on issues related to jobs, education, and how the union worked with other groups.
Political Journey
Neus Munté began her political career in 1999. She worked as the chief of staff for the Education Ministry until 2002. In 2002, she was elected to the Parliament of Catalonia. She served there until 2003.
She returned to the Parliament in 2010 and stayed until 2013. During this time, she spoke for the ruling CiU party on education matters. She also led a committee focused on personal equality.
Role in Democratic Convergence of Catalonia
Munté has been a member of CDC since 1996. CDC was a main part of the CiU political group. From 1998 to 2000, she was a deputy secretary general for JNC. This was the youth group of the CDC party.
In 2012, she was chosen to be an executive secretary for CDC. She was in charge of special policy committees.
Government Positions
In December 2012, Neus Munté became the Minister of Social Welfare and Family Affairs. She worked for the Generalitat of Catalonia, which is Catalonia's government.
In 2015, she was named the Vice President of the Generalitat of Catalonia. She also served as the Government Spokesperson. From 2016 to 2017, she was the Minister of the Presidency. She played a key role in the Catalan government during these years.
