Francesc Homs Molist (born 5 September 1969) is a Spanish politician. He was a very important person in the government of Catalonia. He served as the Minister of the Presidency and also as the Spokesperson for the Catalan government.
Early Life and Education
Francesc Homs was born in a town called Vic in Barcelona, Spain. This was in 1969. He went to the Autonomous University of Barcelona. There, he studied law and earned his degree. He is married and has two daughters.
His Work in Politics
Francesc Homs has held several important jobs in politics. He was the Minister of the Presidency of Catalonia. This role is like being a chief of staff for the president. He was also the Spokesperson for the Government of Catalonia. This means he spoke for the government to the public.
Before these roles, he was the Secretary General of the Presidency. He also worked as the Director General of Interdepartmental Affairs. This job involves helping different government departments work together.
From 2003 to 2010, he was a member of the Parliament of Catalonia. This is like being a representative for the people of Catalonia. He helped write the new rules for Catalonia, called the Statute of Catalonia. He also spoke about these new rules.
Francesc Homs has also worked in private companies. These were in the service and banking industries.
