Marthaville is a small community in Louisiana, United States. It is located in Natchitoches Parish. In 2020, about 90 people lived there. It is part of the Natchitoches area.
History of Marthaville
Marthaville was founded in 1851. A man named James Jackson Rains started the town. He named it after his wife, Martha Ann Whitlock Rains.
When Marthaville was at its busiest, it had many important places. There was a train stop, a bank, and a general store. It also had a bar and a hotel.
In the late 1960s, the railroad tracks were removed. This caused the town to become less busy. Today, Marthaville is still a community. It has a store and a post office. There are also many churches and a school for elementary and junior high students.
Geography of Marthaville
Marthaville is located on the western side of Natchitoches Parish. It is about seven miles west of Robeline. The community is also close to the border of Sabine Parish.

Fun Festivals and Culture
Marthaville hosts a special event called the Marthaville Good Ole Days Festival. This festival happens every September. It lasts for two days.
The festival celebrates the past with lots of fun activities. There are games, live music, and arts and crafts. A parade is also a big part of the celebration. Visitors can enjoy delicious food too. About 1,500 people come to the Marthaville Good Ole Days Festival each year.
