Marvin Earl Holmes Jr. (born November 27, 1948) is an American politician. He is a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, which is part of the state's government. He represents District 23B in Prince George's County, Maryland.

Early Life and Career

Marvin Holmes Jr. was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 28, 1948. He went to Max S. Hayes Vocational School and later studied engineering at Tuskegee University.

Holmes served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1970 to 1974. During his time there, he received special awards like the Commendation Medal. He was also part of the presidential honor guard and helped with search and rescue missions from the air. Besides being a politician, Holmes has worked as a real estate agent for more than 25 years.
