Mary-Anne Monckton is an Australian artistic gymnast. She was born on November 16, 1994. Mary-Anne won two silver medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She also represented Australia at three world championships. These were in 2011, 2014, and 2015. She retired from gymnastics in 2017.

Mary-Anne started gymnastics because her cousin Melissa was doing it. At first, she did not really like the sport. However, her cousin kept taking her because Mary-Anne had a lot of energy.

Mary-Anne has said she looks up to gymnast Catalina Ponor. She admires Catalina for her amazing hard work. Mary-Anne's best gymnastics equipment is the balance beam. Her favorite skill on the beam is the aerial cartwheel. She said being chosen for the 2014 Commonwealth Games was her best moment in gymnastics.

2014 Commonwealth Games

At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Mary-Anne Monckton helped her team. The Australian team finished in second place. She scored well on several pieces of equipment. These included the vault, uneven bars, and balance beam.

Mary-Anne also made it to the balance beam final. In this final, she scored 13.666 points. This score earned her a second silver medal. It was a great achievement for her.
