Mary Habsch (born June 24, 1931 – died December 11, 2023) was a talented artist from Belgium. She was known for her paintings and for making prints.

About Mary Habsch

Mary Habsch was born in a town called Welkenraedt in Belgium on June 24, 1931.

She loved art and studied it for many years. From 1950 to 1959, she went to the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts, a famous art school. There, she learned from a teacher named Léon Devos. Mary earned a special degree in "Painting after Nature" and "Composition." This means she was very good at painting what she saw and creating her own art pieces.

Mary Habsch lived a long life and passed away in Evere, Belgium, on December 11, 2023, when she was 92 years old.

Her Art and Creations

Mary Habsch created many different kinds of art. She painted many portraits, which are pictures of people. She also made unique landscapes that seemed a bit mysterious or "esoteric."

Some of her art was inspired by religious stories or the Bible. She also created large scenes that celebrated Belgian traditions and stories, known as folklore.

Mary Habsch was part of several groups where artists worked together. These groups helped artists share their work and ideas. She joined groups like The Royal Association of Professional Artists of Belgium and the Gryday group. She also connected with other artists in places like Forest (Brussels) and with friends of a writer named Thomas Owen. Being part of these groups showed how much she loved art and working with other creative people.
