Masakazu Koda (幸田 将和, Koda Masakazu, born September 12, 1969) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender, mostly on the right side. Koda spent many years playing for different clubs in Japan, including Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Vissel Kobe, and Yokohama FC. He was known for his strong play in the Japan Football League and helped his teams achieve promotions to higher leagues.

Masakazu Koda's Football Journey
Masakazu Koda was born in Ehime Prefecture, Japan, on September 12, 1969. After finishing high school, he joined a football club called Mazda in 1988. This club later became known as Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Even though he played as a midfielder, he did not get to play in many matches during his time there.
Playing for Vissel Kobe
In 1995, Koda moved to Vissel Kobe, a club in the Japan Football League. Here, his position changed to a right side back, and he became a regular player, meaning he played in most games. In 1997, Vissel Kobe finished second in their league. This great performance helped the club get promoted to the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. However, in 1998, Koda did not play as much as he used to.
Joining Yokohama FC
In 1999, Masakazu Koda joined a brand new club called Yokohama FC. This club was also in the Japan Football League. He played a lot for Yokohama FC, and the team had amazing success. They won the league championships two years in a row, in 1999 and 2000. Because of these wins, Yokohama FC was promoted to the J2 League, the second-highest league in Japan. But in 2001, Koda's playing time became less again.
Final Years with Ehime FC
In 2002, Koda moved to his local club, Ehime FC, which was also in the Japan Football League. He played for two more seasons before deciding to retire from professional football at the end of the 2003 season.
