Sasaki's Club Career
Masanao Sasaki was born in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, on June 19, 1962. After finishing his studies at Kokushikan University, he began his professional football journey.
In 1985, he joined the team Honda. He played there for several years, showing off his skills as a midfielder. Later, in 1991, he moved to another team called All Nippon Airways.
Sasaki also played for clubs close to his hometown. From 1992 to 1993, he was part of JEF United Ichihara. His final club was Kashiwa Reysol, where he played in 1994 before retiring from professional football that same year.
Playing for Japan's National Team
Masanao Sasaki also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team. His first game for Japan was on June 2, 1988, against China.
He was a key player for Japan in 1989 and 1990. During these years, he played in all of Japan's international matches. This included important games like the qualifiers for the 1990 FIFA World Cup. He also participated in the 1990 Asian Games.
