Masaru Kurotsu's Football Journey

Masaru Kurotsu was born in Koga, Japan, on August 20, 1982. He grew up loving football.

Starting His Professional Career

After finishing high school, Masaru joined the professional football club Kawasaki Frontale in 2001. They were part of the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football division.

He made his first professional appearance on August 25, 2002. He came into the game as a substitute and quickly scored the winning goal for his team!

In 2003, injuries kept him from playing much. But from mid-2004, he started playing more often. He often came in as a substitute forward.

Reaching the Top League

His team, Kawasaki Frontale, won the J2 League championship in 2004. This meant they were promoted to the J1 League, Japan's top football division.

From 2005, Masaru played even more. Kawasaki Frontale became a very strong team. They finished in second place in the J1 League in 2006, 2008, and 2009.

However, from 2011, Masaru faced more injuries. These injuries made it hard for him to play regularly.

Moving to New Teams

In 2013, Masaru moved to another J2 League club called Yokohama FC. He played many matches for them over three seasons.

In 2016, he joined Gainare Tottori, a club in the J3 League. This is Japan's third-highest football division.

In 2018, he moved to J.FC Miyazaki. This team plays in the Japanese Regional Leagues, which are below the professional J-Leagues.
