Massanes (pronounced mah-SAH-nes), sometimes called Maçanes, is a small town in Catalonia, Spain. Its name, "Maçanes," actually means "apple grove" or "apples"!
This town is a municipality located in the province of Girona. It's part of a region called the comarca of Selva. Massanes is found on the left side of the Tordera river.
Getting to Massanes is quite easy! Local roads connect the town to the A-7 motorway (a big highway), the C-251 road, and a RENFE railway station. This train station is shared with a nearby town called Maçanet de la Selva.
