MasterChef Asia is a fun cooking TV show. It's based on the famous British show called MasterChef. This show was made by Lifetime Asia.
In the first season, 15 amazing home cooks from different parts of Asia joined the competition. They came from places like China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
Three expert chefs judged the show. They were Susur Lee from Hong Kong, Bruno Ménard who has three Michelin stars, and Audra Morrice from Singapore. Audra was also a finalist on MasterChef Australia.
The contestants cooked in the MasterChef kitchen. They also had challenges in other places and even overseas! There were 15 episodes in total. At the end, one home cook won the special title of the first ever MasterChef Asia.
