Aurora Matilde Gómez Camus (born September 26, 1919 – died April 28, 2012) was a Spanish writer. She was known for her beautiful poetry. She also wrote non-fiction books, which are books based on facts and real events. Matilde Camus came from a region in Spain called Cantabria.

In the 1920s, Matilde Camus went to the Colegio de San José. Later, she studied for seven years at the Instituto de Santa Clara. In 1943, she married Justo Guisández García. They had four children together: Justo Francisco, Francisco Javier, Matilde, and Miguel Ángel.

Matilde Camus started her writing journey with poetry. Her first poetry book was called Voces, published in 1969. She continued to write many more books throughout her life.
