Matthew Charles Czuchry (born May 20, 1977) is an American actor. He is famous for playing different characters on TV shows. You might know him as Logan Huntzberger from Gilmore Girls. He also played Cary Agos in The Good Wife and Dr. Conrad Hawkins in The Resident.

Early Life and Education

Matthew Czuchry was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. He grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee. His father, Andrew Czuchry, was a professor. His mother, Sandra, was a homemaker. Matthew is the youngest of four children. He has two older brothers and an older sister.

He went to Science Hill High School and graduated in 1995. While there, he was the state tennis champion. Czuchry then attended the College of Charleston. He had a tennis scholarship and was the captain of the men's tennis team. In 1998, he won the Mr. College of Charleston pageant. He graduated with honors in 1999. He earned a degree in history and political science.

Matthew Czuchry took only one theater class in college. His professor encouraged him to become an actor. His first role was on the TV show Young Americans. He also appeared in other shows. These included Freaks and Geeks, 7th Heaven, and The Practice.

Breakthrough Roles

Czuchry got his big break in 2004. He joined the TV series Gilmore Girls as Logan Huntzberger. He started as a recurring character. Later, he became a main cast member for the last two seasons.

From 2009 to 2016, Czuchry played lawyer Cary Agos. This was on the CBS drama The Good Wife. He also returned as Logan Huntzberger in 2016. This was for the Netflix miniseries Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

Recent TV Work

In 2018, Czuchry began starring in the medical drama The Resident. He played the main character, Dr. Conrad Hawkins. The show was very popular. It ran for six seasons, ending in 2023.

In 2023, Czuchry joined the cast of American Horror Story: Delicate. This is the 12th season of American Horror Story. He plays the character Dex Harding Jr.

Film Appearances

Czuchry has also acted in several movies. He was in Eight Legged Freaks and Slap Her... She's French. He also had the main role in the film I Hope They Serve ... in Hell.

Theater Performances

From September to October 2007, Czuchry performed in a play. It was called Third by Wendy Wasserstein. He acted alongside Christine Lahti at the Geffen Playhouse.
