Matthew Edward Fish (born November 18, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a center. Matt Fish played for several teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA). These teams included the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, and Washington Bullets.

Early Life and College Basketball
Matt Fish was born on November 18, 1969. He grew up in Washington, Iowa, in the United States. For his college basketball career, he played at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He played there from 1988 to 1992. In 1992, he was named First-team All-CAA. This means he was one of the best players in his college league that year.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Matt Fish was chosen in the 1992 NBA Draft. The Golden State Warriors picked him as the 50th player overall. He then went on to play for several teams in the NBA.
Playing in Other Leagues
Besides the NBA, Matt Fish also played in other professional basketball leagues. He played in the IBA and the CBA. In the CBA, he was a very important player for the Quad City Thunder team. They won the CBA championship in 1994. During his time in the CBA, he was chosen as an All-Star. He was also part of the All-Rookie team and was considered the best center in the league.

He was one of the first people to intern for the NBRPA at their main office in Chicago.
