Matthew Christopher Sinclair, born on July 24, 1982, is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker, which is a key defensive position in football. Matt played college football at the University of Illinois. After college, he joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2005. He also played for the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins during his professional career.

Matt Sinclair started his football journey in college. He played for the Illinois Fighting Illini team. After college, he hoped to join a professional team.
Becoming a Pro Player
In 2005, Matt was not chosen in the NFL Draft. This means he was an "undrafted free agent." Even so, the Baltimore Ravens signed him to their team. This shows that teams can still pick up talented players who were not drafted.
Matt also played for other teams. He was with the Miami Dolphins in 2006. He even played in Europe for the Frankfurt Galaxy. Later, he joined the Washington Redskins from 2007 to 2008.
From Player to Coach
After his playing career, Matt Sinclair decided to become a coach. On February 21, 2023, he accepted a new job. He became the head coach for the Fisher Jr. Sr. High School football team. This was his first time being a head coach for a team.
