The ski area has 24 different trails. These trails offer a variety of challenges for all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, there is a trail for you. The longest run is about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) long. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the ride down the mountain.
Mountain Size and Snowfall
Maverick Mountain has about 210 acres (0.85 square kilometers) of skiable area. This is the total space where you can ski or snowboard. The mountain gets a lot of snow each year. On average, it receives about 180 inches (457 centimeters) of fresh snow. That's a lot of powder for skiing and snowboarding!
Lifts and Elevation
To get up the mountain, Maverick Mountain has two main lifts. There is one Double chairlift and one Handle Tow. These lifts help you reach the top of the slopes easily. The highest point you can ski from is 8,250 feet (2,515 meters) above sea level. The base of the mountain, where you start, is at 6,500 feet (1,981 meters). This difference in height makes for exciting descents.
