Max Franz was born on September 1, 1989. He is an Austrian alpine ski racer who competes in the World Cup.

Max was born in Klagenfurt, Carinthia. He is especially good at fast skiing events like Downhill and Super-G.

Max Franz's Skiing Journey

Max Franz started his World Cup career in November 2009. His first race was at Lake Louise, Canada. Three years later, in November 2012, he achieved his first top-three finish (podium) in a World Cup race. This was also in a Downhill event at Lake Louise.

Max is also the cousin of another alpine skier, Werner Franz.

Big Wins and Achievements

In 2017, Max Franz won his first World Cup race. It was a Downhill event in Val Gardena, Italy. He has won two more World Cup races since then: one in Super-G and another in Downhill.

He also won a bronze medal at the World Championships in 2017. This was a great achievement for him!

Dealing with Injuries

During a training session in Copper Mountain, USA, Max had a fall. He broke bones in both of his lower legs. Because of this injury, he could not compete in the 2022/23 World Cup season or the 2023 World Championships.
