Max Franz, born on September 1, 1989, is an amazing Austrian alpine ski racer. He competes in the World Cup, which is a series of top-level ski races.
Max was born in Klagenfurt, Austria. He is especially good at fast events like Downhill and Super-G.

Max's Skiing Journey
Max started his World Cup racing career in November 2009. His very first race was in Lake Louise, Canada. Just three years later, in November 2012, he achieved his first podium finish. This was in a Downhill race, also in Lake Louise.
Fun fact: Max is the cousin of another alpine skier, Werner Franz!
First Big Wins
In 2017, Max won his very first World Cup race. It was a Downhill event in Val Gardena, Italy. He has won two more World Cup races since then. One was in Super-G, and the other was another Downhill race.
At the World Championships of 2017, he earned a bronze medal. This means he finished third in the Downhill event.
Facing Challenges
In 2022, Max had a serious fall during a training session. This happened in Copper Mountain, USA. He broke bones in both of his lower legs. Because of this injury, he could not race in the 2022/23 World Cup season. He also missed the 2023 World Championships.
Max's World Cup Achievements
Max Franz has achieved great things in the World Cup. He has won 3 races in total. Two of these wins were in Downhill, and one was in Super-G. He has also stood on the podium 10 times. Six of these podium finishes were in Downhill, and four were in Super-G.
